As most of you know, our family has been involved with the March of Dimes for longer than I can remember (My mom literally used to pull us around in the wagon, raising money for the March of Dimes' Mother's March). Personally, we have been affected by the March of Dimes - not only with our two healthy babies, but we have also lost two babies - a baby girl to a rare chromosome disorder in 2004 and a baby boy to preterm labor in 2005. I have come to realize what a true gift a healthy baby is and hope that one day all babies will be born healthy.
Over the past 12 years, (Since Emilie was born) our family has raised nearly $75,000 for the March of Dimes and healthy babies. In 2011, Emilie raised over $12,000 herself. She was named the top fundraiser in Arizona and the 5th highest youth fundraiser in America. Here are a couple of links to a newspaper article and news story...

This year, we were unable to find a March for Babies in Jakarta (imagine that!) so we made one of our own! We created our own route and walked for Healthy Babies in Indonesia! We did miss the 8AM hot dogs (Although, living in a Halal community means no hot dogs anytime - much less, first thing in the morning).
Follow the link below to read a little about why Emilie participates in March for Babies. You can also use this link to help her achieve her goal of being the highest fundraiser in Indonesia!

And now for a few outtakes...Apparently, taking pictures across a busy Jakarta street isn't as easy as it looks...
Thanks for supporting us as we work towards the goal of giving all babies a healthy start!
